Melotte 15 Star Cluster

The Melotte 15 Star Cluster is some 7500 light-years away from Earth and is located in the Perseus Arm of the Milky Way Galaxy in the constellation Cassiopeia. It is part of the larger Heart Nebula (IC1805) which was discovered by William Herschel in 1787. The surrounding emission nebula glows ionized hydrogen gas amid darker dust lanes
